Tofu Pancake

One of my favorite food is tofu! And this is what I loved to eat when I was a little girl! And I didn’t really learn how to cook this but I remember the taste and the ingredients. That’s why I want to share with you!

This can be used as a side dish! It is so simple! But the taste is so good!


Please check the recipe below:


  • 300 gram white firm tofu (smash)

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 carrot (cut into tiny pieces)

  • 1 spring onion (Thinly slice)

  • 5 cloves shallots (minced) 3 cloves garlics (minced)

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp ground coriander

  • Cooking oil


  1. In a large bowl, using hand, smash tofu until it is smooth and then add shallots. garlics, spring onions and carrot. Mix well.

  2. Add salt and ground coriander and mix well again. Make sure the dough well mixed.

  3. Shape the dough (mix tofu) into some circle shapes like cookies shape (The size is depend on your preference) until you finish the dough. Put aside.

  4. In a small bowl, beat 2 eggs.

  5. Heat the pan, add cooking oil. Put the mix tofu (the dough) into the eggs before it goes to the pan. Make sure the dough is covered by egg. Fry it until the color become yellow/golden. Keep doing the same thing until you finish the dough (mix tofu).

Tips: It’s best to have it while it is still warm. You can have it as snack or with steam rice. If you love spicy, you can eat it with chili.
